Beauty Breakdown: Academy Awards 2015

That's a wrap! Award season has now come to an end, & we have seen some great beauty looks along the way. Stars shined at The Golden Globes and stunned at the SAG Awards. I think that they really saved some of the most glamorous looks for this years Oscars. We'll break down some of our favorite looks of the night, and how you can get the enviable looks at home! BEST LIPS: The red carpet this year was accompanied by bold lips! Our favorite of the night? Margot Robbie nailed it! She kept her overall look simple (a blonde lob, matte foundation, subtle eyes), which makes it really easy to recreate this look at home! A little different from your typical red lip, her makeup artist chose a lipstick

Kissable Lips!

With Valentine's Day right around the corner, we all long for KISSABLE lips! Sometimes, this dry, dreary, Wisconsin Winter weather does not allow for our lips to be so. We've got you covered in just 3 easy steps: Smooth, Soothe, and Shine! 1. Smooth: Exfoliate your lips! When lips are really dry and chapped, a super smoothing treatment like Lip Revive will help dissolve flaking skin. It contains a gentle beta- hydroxy acid that breaks down the bond that holds dead skins together. It provides moisturizing, anti-lining and anti-feathering benefits as well. You won’t believe how instantly smooth you lips feel and your lip color will glide on beautifully and won’t look cake-y. Think of it

Got Dry Eyes?

We’ve had so many women in the store this week complaining about dry eye syndrome. Not only does this affect your eyes, but you may want to consider changing your eye makeup routine. I too suffer from a mild case of dry eye due to menopause. I have found that a simple switch to cream eye shadows had made a huge difference. Our cream eye shadows are great because they are long wearing and water resistance. The colors layer really nicely, so you can create your own colors and the combinations are endless. I also pulled out an old classic Merle Norman product, Natural Brown Shadow to use to create a little more depth. Here’s my routine: I start with Anti-Aging Eye Complex for moisturizing
